The Girlpower series on my blog has been pretty much dead for a while as the last post I put up was over 5 months ago but here we are again with this beautiful woman to rekindle the series. Oreoluwa of Lifestyleoforeoluwa reached out to me to be part of this series a couple of months ago but due to a lot of issues, this post is just being released. I hope you guys enjoy learning more about her and her blogging journey.
Can you tell us a little about yourself and your blog?
I am Oreoluwa Aremo, a turtle who finds comfort in its shell type of lady from Ondo State, Nigeria and I blog at lifestyleoforeoluwa – a minimalist lifestyle blog where I talk about everything.
How would you describe your blogging style?
I am a conversationalist writer; hence I blog like I am having a face to face conversation with my readers. This is why my blog is an intimate one… haha.
When did you first get into blogging and what inspired you?
I started blogging in 2012 because I wanted to improve my writing skills and I wanted to be documented online.
How do you manage time to run your blog efficiently?
For me, timing and consistency is vital. There was a time when I struggled with consistency and content creating because of school and work, however, I am beginning to get a hold of it now.
What has been the most challenging moment in your blogging journey so far?
Looking at my stats one morning and wondering if it was truly worth it.
Have you met anyone interesting on your blogging journey. If so, please tell us about the encounter?
I have met amazing people and bloggers so far, but I am yet to meet up with them because they are all in Nigeria and I am currently in Ireland. Hopefully, I get to meet them all before the year ends. (Edit: This post was made a while ago, so she is actually back in Nigeria now.)
How would you describe your personal style and is there someone who is an inspiration to you?
Comfort is key for me; I am not so into fashion and don’t have a fashion icon inspiration, but I love to look good and feel comfortable in whatever I have on.
What would you say that is the greatest satisfaction of being a blogger?
Being able to create relatable contents and inspire my readers.
Could you give some advice for the newbie bloggers in the house?
Be original! You are better when you are 100% yourself; find out what you love and like to write about and just go with the flow. Also, remember that growth is possible and is a good thing.
You can find Oreoluwa:
For me, one major thing I have learnt from this post is that originality is key. Don’t look at anyone’s journey and compare with yours. You should find your own flow and work with it.
