Beauty Skin care Skincare Tips

The most important product in my skincare routine

Affordable skin care routine in Nigeria

Everyone that uses skincare products has that ride or die one that works like magic for them. If you don’t you probably have not found it yet. I’m happy to announce to you that I have found mine. It’s the Clean &Clear Blackhead clearing cleanser.

Let me give context on my skin and its issues. I have really manageable combination skin (only oily on my nose area). I’ve never really been one to have acne or spots on my skin but I have really large pores and this could be the death of me. While my skin has always been clear, it has never really been smooth or glowing and I never thought I needed to care for my skin until a little while ago I consciously started doing so.

I have heard masks are good to  reduce pores but I have not really found one that works for me except a couple of DIY’s I have done which I cannot afford to include in my routine – This is a call for help! Please let me know in the comments your favorite face masks which can help to reduce pores.

Before going back to school, while shopping for new products at Mama Dupe cosmetics (Balogun Market), I decided to change my cleanser. This is a decision I have not regretted till date. I was attracted to the cleanser because I saw boldly written that changes are noticed from day 1. I’m just very curious and wanted to check if that was true. They weren’t lying guys, from day 1 I noticed smoother skin esp around my nose where my pores are the largest.

The only issue I have with this product is that the results seem kind of temporary. I have been using it for 2 weeks and while I have seen reasonable changes, the day I don’t use it my skin is a little less smoother than the day before.

Verdict

Affordability – The cleanser cost me 2,200 Naira but I saw it at another store for 2000 Naira. The price would depend on where you buy it from.

Effectiveness – Consistency is key when using skincare products and I’m glad I’ve been with this one. Rated 8/10

What is your skin type and the ride or die product you use? And do you have any suggestions for masks I can use to reduce my pores?

Great post! I use clean and clear exfoliating daily scrub. It works well with my skin although I wish it were a bit cheaper. I might try this cleanser too. I wished you talked about how you use it.

This was a nice review. I use the clean and clear morning Energy Daily facial scrub. I got this product for 1500 naira . It is great on my skin, gives my skin a smooth surface, and removes dirt well. I have large pores on my nose too. I will love to work on that aspect of my face. So I might try this product. Keep doing you girl.

I actually love the Beauty Formulas Activated Charcoal Range.. the cleanser, scrub and mask. They don’t do wonders but they keep my skin clean and make it feel good in general. Best part, all three cost about 3500 Naira! They can be found easily in Shoprite too.
I have heard such good things about the Clean and Clear products, hoping to try them soon!

I have been tempted to get the Beauty Formulas activated charcoal mask at Shoprite on many occasions but at that point it was not part of my spending plan. I would definitely buy it soon and revert to you on how well it works for my skin.
Yes, I think you should try the Clean and Clear range, works wonderfully for my skin!

Loved the review. I wish large pores were my problem rn. I never knew it was possible for your skin type to change, mine switched from very normal to oily around the tzone and i now have acne scars. I find it hard to be consistent with skincare products though. I should probably try to. Right now my ride or die product is black soap for my face. It has been really helpful

Yes oh, my skin used to be very dry and all of a sudden it started getting more oily around my T-zone are as well. I recently realized that consistency with everything is key. There are a lot of efficient products but they wont work if we are not consistent with them. Yes-I really like using black soap as well, I normally melt dudu osun and mix in ACV, Turmeric and Coconut oil then use as a body wash. It does wonders!

For some strange reason I never tried Clean and Clear products but my mom swears by the morning burst facial scrub. It’s definitely a good product. Awesome post! ❤️❤️
